Per year, per decade; based on a new flag or an old one—this design can grow as queer culture develops further. The Heirloom was designed to change as new communities form, thrive, and become pillars in Canada's history.

Queer communities carry only what serves them and persevere regardless of adversity. We celebrate our influence and place in the world in defiance of the struggles we face. 

The Heirloom is an homage to that feeling; it's an adaptable collective of shapes that can tell a different story based on the world it currently inhabits. It's a set of infinite combinations working together to form a finished piece.
